I would appreciate any input. The biggest is to use a belted z axis instead of ball screws. My belted Z axis would use planetary geared stepper motors, 10mm wide steel reinforced GT2 belts, and a unique pulley system that would provide equal force to the X axis in both the downward and upward direction to prevent against bouncing. My goal in designing this printer was to have no compromises and achieve near perfect dual extrusion print quality. Sorry to say, but I have abandoned this project. Still needs a number of minor parts to be designed or modified like bed corners, wipe mount, flush switch mount, and a few more.

The first being that tzamania a belted Z axis would save a few hundred dollars. This thing is still a Work in Progress. We’re sure Bobbyofna would love a Tip, but unfortunately they have not setup their accounts to receive them yet. Probably one more update to come for the y axis, once I test parts.
